The Worst Kept Secret in Quilting is Coming this Fall…

The New School Quiltery is bringing you a different kind of Quilt Along — The Forgotten Rooms QAL.
What makes the Forgotten Rooms Quilt Along Different?
It has quilt blocks. It has quilt patterns. It has fabric kits. It has prizes. It’s even a sampler quilt so you’ll get to explore a variety of quilty techniques. It’s even a Halloween-esque quilt, BUT this is NOT your typical seasonal Halloween quilt pattern. It’s a one-of-a kind quilting experience never before attempted — blending creativity, connection, and …..a legend.
For 200 years the mansion has slept with its windows dark, and its rooms sealed by time. But this Halloween season, as the veil grows thin, the door creaks open once more. Inside, eight rooms wait — forgotten, but not gone. Each tells its story through fabric and thread.

Get ready to step into a story of friendship, love, mystery, and haunting betrayal. Like chapters in a book, you’ll sew your way through quilt block patterns (or rooms), each unlocking a new chapter in the story of events that happened so long ago in a long-forgotten mansion.
What is the New School Quiltery:
The Forgotten Rooms Quilt Along has been dreamt and woven together by a group of designers from the 2025 Nocturnal Soul Stitchery Halloween QAL*. Together and under a new name, New School Quiltery; the designers of A Journey Sew Real, Ollie Sara Designs, Vogon Verse Quilts, Bobbins and Unicorns, Fabric Foundry and Perennial Crafts are bringing this story and experience to life. While the mansion, the story and mystery are new; the heart behind this quilt along is the same — creativity, community and the love of quilting.
*The Nocturnal Soul Stitchery QAL was hosted by Maggie Reno of Snug & Stitch and Michelle Corless of Compass and Wildflower. It’s because of their mentorship, experience, kindness and grace, that we are ready to take on bringing this exciting new offering to the creative quilting community. We will be forever grateful to Maggie and Michelle.
But wait there’s more…
