Fabric Selection Consideration:

• Background: Use a solid or a small non-directional print.
• Tree: Color value is key; choose a dark, medium, and light value fabric; can be 3 different colors or 3 of the same color.
• Peppermint Snowflakes:
  • If using Light Background, use a dark and a light value
  • If using Dark Background, use a medium and a light value
• For a scrappier quilt: Consider using fabric scraps for tree and/or background. Divide scraps by color into dark, medium, and light values for tree. (i.e. For the tree: light value pinks, medium value greens, dark value greens)
